Guys, in today's friendly match, Barcelona went to Basel. Hamza Aboukhlal, who was almost certain to play before the match, took the field and lit it up again! 🔥 He even scored a goal, and the video is available. I keep waiting to see if he'll step up in Messi's place... Do you think we should give Hamza more chances? Or should we focus on other young talents?

It's like when Barça tried Ansu Fati out on the wing back in 2019: at first everyone was like “crazy, Messi already has his heir,” but then it turned out to be a very specific context. The same thing is happening with Hamza—a friendly against a Basel side that isn’t even a shadow of its Bundesliga team, and of course he shows up and scores. It's easy to get excited, especially when he's been at the club for years but with very limited minutes.
But watch the expectations, because this isn’t Crystal Palace at its best. If he really wants to be the future, he needs real minutes in La Liga, not just friendlies against second‑tier opponents. I'd say give him chances, but take it slow, like they did with Gavi last year: gradually, proving he can be useful in serious matches. Another young talent? Always good to have options, but right now Hamza has the advantage of having been in the system for years. Let's see if on that US tour they give him higher‑quality minutes and we’ll see what happens.
