What comes out of Coach Batrakov’s mouth is seriously mind‑blowing, bro. He walks us through Batrakov’s “since I was a kid” story and breaks down his technical growth step by step—it’s pure storytelling gold. Honestly, I always bragged, “I’m a young coach,” and while I was constantly watching the kid I’d talk about how those tiny details we pick up give him character, but nothing compares to the coach’s take.
From what I’ve heard around the gym, Batrakov’s early academy years have always been kept in the shadows. That interview makes it clear the guy has actually been there for years, just never got enough spotlight. According to the coach, Batrakov’s ball technique supposedly improved in a tangible, almost palpable way during the years he received that anatomical training.
When I was playing on the youth squad at Sparta Prague, I spotted his talent and ran some special drills on him. I was already thinking his raw material was being molded by the relentless work we put in there.
