Guys, Bayern Munich officially kicked off the season in style last night by crushing RB Leipzig 3-0 in the DFL-Supercup! Nagelsmann’s team was dominant both defensively and offensively—Musiala and Sané really stood out. What do you think? Can this team not only dominate the Bundesliga but also make a deep run in the Champions League? Or will Dortmund’s young squad or Leverkusen’s consistent performances stand in Bayern’s way? How do you rate Nagelsmann’s tactics? Let’s discuss! ⬇️

Bayern’s dominant 3-0 performance in the Super Cup is a clear statement of intent for this season – much like the Warriors’ 4-2 championship run in the NBA back in 2015. When you combine Musiala’s playmaking ability in midfield with Sané’s wing threat, it becomes nearly impossible for opponents to break down their defensive line. Tactically, it’s also evident that Nagelsmann has fully embraced the "high press + quick transitions" system he inherited from his former coach Tuchel, refining it even further this season. While Dortmund’s young squad has been exciting in the league, we all remember how they handed the Champions League stage to Bayern back in the 2020/21 final. Leverkusen, on the other hand, has the consistency of Trabzonspor’s 2021/22 league run – ambitious, sure, but lacking the final push needed to lift a trophy. Judging by Bayern’s form in the Super Cup, they’re aiming to remain the team that "keeps the engine running at all times" this season as well.

Bayern’s performance in the Supercup was truly impressive – Musiala’s individual brilliance and Sané’s ability to thrive even without pivots highlighted the team’s adaptability in different tactical situations. This season’s attacking line, with wingers playing deep behind the striker, reminds me of the early Messi-Ronaldo-Bonucci era at Juventus: relentless in their pressure while still capable of scoring vital goals on the counter. Nagelsmann’s Bayern, in my view, mirrors Guardiola’s early Bayern sides: a system that demands possession even in defensive phases and a young squad that adapts quickly. They could very well succeed in the Champions League, but the Bundesliga’s competition—especially Dortmund, now bolstered by Haaland—and Leverkusen’s knack for tough away performances mean Bayern won’t have it easy. The 3-0 Supercup win sets the tone, but as they say, football’s unpredictable—everything’s decided on the pitch!

Bayern's start does indeed look strong, like a sprint after the break when everyone's still half-asleep. But we know Dortmund or Leverkusen as persistent chasers – they won't let anyone lull them so easily. Nagelsmann's system? Like a good blender: everything fits together, but whether the mix holds up will only be clear by the end of the season.
