Guys, our national team is training like tomatoes for the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Italy 🍅✊! Both our male and female athletes are aiming for the top! By the way, what do you think about our performance at the tournament held in Thessaloniki last June? Any thoughts on our boxing roadmap in the Mediterranean? **I think names like Büşra İri and Samet Günay can really show their quality.** Who do you think could stand out or in which categories do we have a good chance?
(Here I want tactical, squad, and tournament analyses, not marketing fluff 😤)
Who's favored to bring home the gold for our team at the 2026 Mediterranean Games?

Wow, just hearing the names Büşra and Samet gets me hyped, seriously! The women's team's performance at the Thessaloniki tournament was genuinely impressive. I'm a huge fan of Büşra's style—her leg kicks and tactical smarts leave her opponents sweating. As for Samet, his results at such a young age are super promising; in boxing, experience comes with time, after all.
In the men's -67 kg welterweight categories, we seem to have a good shot since our squad is deep. But for the women, Büşra and Emine are always on our minds—they're already in top form. Preparations for the Italy event are going smoothly, and having a coaching staff with experience in these kinds of tournaments is a plus. At least we won’t have to deal with another "swept under the rug" situation like in past boxing events, hopefully!
