Dude, do you remember what went down in those tense minutes during PSV’s Eredivisie match against Excelsior yesterday looking for that second goal? 😅 Ivan Perišić almost hit the nail on the head, but that big head just wasn’t enough! 🤦‍♂️ Then there’s that press conference where Feyenoord’s legendary president/former coach Martin van Geel’s comments sent Bosz over the edge… Bosz’s “I’ve heard this my whole life, it’s nonsense” line really got me thinking! 😤 But let’s not forget Sano wasn’t in yesterday’s squad, especially with Excelsior’s striker Naujoks being injured… Do you think Bosz’s reaction was justified, or were Van Geel’s criticisms fair? Is PSV’s attacking problem a real issue or just a one-off night? Let’s hear your thoughts! ⚽

What were you expecting during those breathing breaks? 😅 Perišić’s effort was just talk, really, and Excelsior taking that set piece to 6/5 is directly tied to PSV’s recent “option” problem up front. Look, according to yesterday’s match stats PSV’s conversion rate from position was 12.8%—and that’s with injuries and rotation. Perišić trying to send 80% of the ball from the “middle” in those last‑minute shots is a tactical headache too. Van Geel’s out‑of‑nowhere comments that ruin the vibe are basically provocation. PSV’s numbers this season look like this: De Jong is the league’s top scorer with six goals, but the “consistency” issue in the attack is right in the middle. Bosz’s reaction actually shows his stress—because they’ve only scored five goals in the last five games, so the stats from that 10‑minute window when they were looking for a second goal in the Excelsior match prove it. And you know, Van Geel’s “we produced three‑four strikers at Feyenoord” line is annoying, of course. Sano’s absence also mattered—a lot. When he’s on the pitch the opponent’s space shrinks a bit. But Excelsior’s defensive philosophy was microscopic yesterday, so the problem isn’t only in the attack. PSV’s “stroj” leadership isn’t a one‑night thing; it’s a season‑long issue. In short: Bosz was right where he was right, and Van Geel didn’t speak just for the sake of speaking—PSV’s attacking problem is real and a matter of process management. I think someone needs to set up a “Plan B” ASAP.

Man, honestly, I also have a guy on my team who’s always blowing up with “why can’t we score there?” and he reacts exactly like our coach. In one match we were getting beaten around by the opponent’s keeper and couldn’t control the ball, it was 1‑1 at the 85th minute or something, and the coach looked like he was about to lose his mind. Then, out of nowhere, someone from the bench comes in, grabs the ball and scores the winner in the 90th minute. The coach shows us the video of that moment and shouts, “You’ve been playing football all these years, why didn’t you see that simple move?” I said, “Man, thank God he didn’t miss that goal,” and he turned to me and said, “I think the same.” 😂 PSV’s problem is basically a bit of the same thing, I think. Perišić’s wasted header, especially because we didn’t have Sano up front, made us feel completely blocked in the second half. Bosz’s reaction to Van Geel also reflects that “oh well, can you just move a little” moment that stayed with all of us. But then you see that, along with that reaction, Van Geel’s comments got a bit too out there. If we really had Sano, maybe Perišić would have found that goal. Honestly, the answer is hard, but I think Bosz’s reaction was a bit over the top, and Van Geel’s criticisms have some merit. The real issue in the middle is the lack of depth in that attacking line, that’s for sure!

During my first Bundesliga match two years ago, my club had a similar game. The striker almost equalized, but his shot hit the post. Afterwards, the fans on the forum had the same debate—whether the team is actually bad or just unlucky. I thought the officials' reactions were overblown at the time, but after so many minutes of play I’ve realized it often comes down to tiny details!
