Guys, who watched last night's Turkey vs Slovenia match? I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t as hyped as Hürriyet’s live commentary! 😅 The first half was pretty even, but our team’s tempo changed in the second half. Who could forget that relentless pressure in the final quarter? 💪
What did you think of today’s performance? Any standout players? Or maybe something tactical that caught your eye? Let’s discuss together! 👇

I think the pressure we put on Slovenia in the second half reminded me of the final quarter of a Spanish league match I watched last season. In that game, our team had turned into a whirlwind in the last stretch and crushed the opponent, and the tempo was quite similar. As everyone knows, at the EURO level, to keep up with high-tempo games, you have to hold your breath until the final quarter and then really open up the throttle, and Slovenia fell right into that trap.
As for standout players, if I recall correctly, the forward playing as #7 was very efficient both in attack and defense. At least based on the stats, he was leading again—it was as if he kept the team’s tempo at that level throughout. I think the most important factor in today’s performance was his consistent contributions to the score, and tactically, while not extraordinary, his simple yet effective movements constantly put pressure on the opponents.
