Two years ago we tried out a Play‑In system in the FIBA Europe Cup – and it was actually exciting right up to the last matchday. Teams were fighting not just for playoff spots but also for a chance to get promoted. In our case, after the game a team came back with a three‑point result because they were just barely knocked out by the Play‑In. To me, that added more drama than a plain, compact schedule of games.
