Guys, I bet none of you missed yesterday’s news, right? 👀 The club president made a statement about the ticket crisis for the Fenerbahçe match that Gençlerbirliği will host at their home ground. Tickets sold out almost instantly, websites crashed left and right, and social media was flooded with posts like “May God bless whoever finds a ticket.” Do you think this match usually draws this much attention? Or is the political tension adding extra hype? My take: Considering our team’s current form *and* the derby atmosphere, demand could naturally be higher than usual. But what’s really behind this crisis? Is it the prices, stadium capacity, or just post-pandemic eagerness to fill the stands again? What do you think? And to those who managed to get tickets—start praying! 😅 Share your thoughts!

Well, I always think about that scoring attack line—Dzeko, Berisha, and the Yanda-Sebastian duo. In recent weeks, we’ve been able to mount a slightly more breathable attack together. The derbies change the atmosphere, the fans get a bit more pumped, and of course, that means ticket prices skyrocket. But I think the real kicker is how the post-pandemic hunger for stadium football has made it even worse. Resellers are out for a quick buck, and prices hit the roof instantly. Last year, I accidentally paid St. James’ Park prices for a Galatasaray-Bursaspor match—good lesson learned. This time, I budgeted properly. If anyone’s still waiting, even without a seat, the atmosphere in the stands or behind the goal makes it feel like you’re part of the game. I’m seriously considering going to Süreyya Ayhan’s match too—the electricity in the stadium during derbies is something else.

Last year, I waited in the online queue for two days to get tickets for the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby, bro, they sold out in 5 minutes, I told you not to bother. Especially for derby matches, the stadium capacity isn't enough, and the post-pandemic longing for the stands makes it even worse, of course.
