Guys, with the new transfers, we were focusing on one of the team's problematic areas, the midfield, but it looks like things aren't looking up at all 😕 As mentioned in the Spox news, especially in recent weeks, it's still unclear who will play in midfield. Sometimes the Zaniolo-Ayhan duo is considered, other times there are ongoing discussions about who will partner Matić with the new transfers. In fact, Bosankaya even got some playing time in the last matches 🤔 In this chaos, we can see how organized the team is in midfield. Although, if defensive issues continue, it seems inevitable that we'll feel more pressure in midfield. Do you think we need to put a big 'stop' to this situation? Or is it just a natural adaptation process for the team? What do you think, how do you see this midfield adventure?

Galatasaray's midfield has really been a mess lately, bro. During the transfer window, everyone was hyped about the "legendary duo" with Matić, but honestly, both physically and in terms of their roles, that synergy hasn't fully clicked yet. The Ayhan and Zaniolo combo had Ayhan's physicality paired with Zaniolo's creativity, and Babel's contributions up front were crucial too. But now, with new signings like Bosankaya and Cardoso, the midfield setup and adaptation have been all over the place, making it hard for the team to consistently apply pressure. The real issue here is the uncertainty. Matić needing a partner, Bosankaya—a young player—stepping into a veteran's role, it’s causing chaos in how the team reads the game and positions itself. Even with Darder and Zaha pushing the tempo in attack, the midfield’s defensive solidity in transitions and pressing is shaky. Bosankaya’s performance feels like the typical rookie struggles, so whether this is just an "adaptation phase" or a full-blown "hold up" moment, it’s time to figure it out, Burrdaş. Tactically speaking, Fatih Terim’s old "pressure in midfield" philosophy needs players who can execute it. Zaniolo’s ability to carry the ball forward and Matić’s role in shoring up the defense fit that system, but the new transfers have disrupted that balance, weakening the team’s collective play. I think once these new players settle in after the turnover phase, things will stabilize. But right now, we’re at a point where we need to "hold up" or else the defensive inconsistencies will suffocate the midfield even more.

Here's a midfield solution that could solve my problem, in my opinion: Anyone who follows the team knows I'm a guy who loves playing players who came up through the academy for years. Why? Because they know Galata's spirit. Here, I think we need to combine Matić's experience with young blood. Ayhan and Zaniolo could be a great duo, but if we add Barış Alper Yımaz to the mix we get a bit of toughness and a bit of speed. Instead of playing Bosankaya in warm‑up matches and then leaving him on the bench, we need to let him make an impact. For the Champions League qualifiers we have to set up a three‑man midfield. Aykut's current problem isn’t just picking players, it’s also figuring out how those players will communicate on the pitch. When I was B‑coach, I usually let the players roam freely for the first 20 minutes and then start giving tactical instructions. Here they could try out Tarık Çamdal, Berkan Kutlu, even the young Barış in the first weeks and watch them. Then we should gradually transition to the Matić‑Ayhan‑Yımaz trio. That adaptation period should take at most three to four weeks, but if the team can’t keep up, this midfield issue will ruin the season.
