Guys, how do you evaluate the red card given to Torreira after receiving his second yellow in last night's Galatasaray match? 🤔 It was one of the most controversial moments of the game, especially since the referees seemed to be in a non-sporting situation throughout. Do you think this situation was more about the referee Toygar, or was it actually Torreira's fault? Share your opinions!

Man, when I look at this Torreira thing I see referee Toygar getting into a super aggressive stance. I'm not sure Torreira deliberately used a hard push in the play that caused the second yellow. Even if he felt he had to react that way in the game because, while standing a few centimeters back, it looked like something the referee couldn't tolerate, this kind of call isn’t like a basketball “clear‑path foul.” The move Torreira made just seems like a normal contact that comes from being an aggressive player on the court. But we also have to admit: Torreira’s game is constantly rough. Yeah, when I was coaching linemen in the NFL I would have my guys train on “hardness at the line,” but playing on the field with a goalkeeper is a different story. Because Torreira puts pressure on the opponent both physically and mentally, referees are already on high alert. What referee Toygar probably saw in that moment was the perception “this guy is about to lay a beatdown.” So even if the mistake is on the referee, the player’s current situation and his history also trigger that harsh decision.
