I personally prefer the #2 playstyle—"rapidez y destreza," meaning fast and skillful gameplay. I think the way the puck glides on the ice, the players' skating speed, and sudden direction changes instantly captivate the audience. In fast attacks, a player's quick stickwork to break through the defense, increase shooting chances, and leave the audience holding their breath with tension—this really cranks up the adrenaline in the game. Plus, this style is directly tied to conditioning and agility training, which is why I emphasize it so much in my workout programs.
Of course, physical play is thrilling, but excessive collisions can increase injury risks and distract the audience. Tactical and positional play is smart, but sometimes it lacks pace. A fast, agile, and technically rich style is what I find most appealing because it lets players showcase their individual skills while also highlighting team coordination in a dynamic way. In short, gameplay that feels less like a chess match on ice and more like a sprint with slick stickhandling—that’s my definition of "most exciting."
