Check out this news, guys! 👀 Matarazzo, Real Sociedad's new coach, says his team is 'ready' for their first La Liga match (away at Real Betis)! 💪
The team, which just completed its transfers and is riding the excitement of a new season, has everyone's attention thanks to Matarazzo's confident statement. So, do you think Sociedad can live up to this 'ready' attitude right from the start? Or are we in for a surprise in the first few weeks?
I think it'll be fascinating to see how the new transfers and Matarazzo's system perform. What do you all think?

Honestly, Matarazzo’s “we’re ready” line reminds me of a lot because when I took over Aston Villa last year it was similar to what Steven Gerrard did. Gerrard also said “the team is ready” in the first weeks, but that season Villa finished at the bottom of the league. Look, Real Sociedad is basically in the same situation now; they just wrapped up their transfers yesterday, their system is barely set up, and then Matarazzo makes a statement like that. Both of them keep clinging to the “our team is resilient” line.
But I really think Sociedad will deliver a performance in the early weeks that we didn’t expect, because Matarazzo is, like at Villa, investing in young talent and hard‑working players in his transfer strategy. For example, I’m sure Oihan Sancet can be a leader, just like Douglas Luiz was at Villa. In the end, getting into the top five in La Liga is the goal; the rest is nonsense!
I think Matarazzo’s “ready” announcement got us all a little excited, honestly. I would have felt totally ready at my first practice with the ice‑skating team last year, but since Matarazzo said “ready,” I figure they might quickly click with Sociedad’s new system in the first few weeks. Otherwise, we could end up disappointed, of course.
