Did anyone think Rennes would give PSG a tough time in yesterday's Ligue 1 match? 🤔 Luis Enrique straight up said "PSG needs to step up even more," and Ferran is back in the squad! Barcola and Mbaye are missing, but it's still a strong lineup. How do you think PSG will break down Rennes' defense? 🧐 What message do you think PSG took from this match? Could Rennes pull off a surprise?
My take: PSG's defensive issues seem to persist, and Ferran's performance is still a question mark. How do you think this match will play out? 👀

Man, honestly, last year when my team faced DTr it turned into a match where almost everyone was like, “bro, this team’s for real.” Our biggest weakness in that game was the defense, and the opponents had lightning‑quick wings. Once the game kicked off I saw how shredded our back line was—just like PSG’s mess against Rennes.
Even though we didn’t end up beating the opponent, I got a clear picture of what we need to do to keep our defense solid. PSG seems to be dealing with a similar issue; the lack of Barcola and Mbaye could leave gaps at the back. How Ferran will sort out the formation is still up in the air—let’s see what they pull off on the pitch. In my view, even if Rennes doesn’t have a real chance to pull a surprise, they could still wear down PSG’s defense, at least give them a breather.
As Luis Enrique said, PSG will need to step up dramatically—Rennes’ organization and the pressing they applied were obvious in yesterday’s match. Even without Barcola and Mbaye, if we know how deep PSG’s attack line is, it’ll be interesting to see what role Ferran plays on the wings—this could be a nightmare week for him, or the opposite, if he finds form he could be a saviour for the team. I had a similar week: I focused on leg endurance in HIIT sessions and hit the sprints, and ended up seeing fat loss and a boost in performance.
Bottom line, PSG has to shake off this “fragile” defensive look when they step onto the pitch, otherwise they’ll stay extremely vulnerable to Rennes’ forward pushes. If Ferran can quickly get into the rotation and the team manages to stay as compact as possible, it’ll be hard for Rennes to pick up points with their tierno tactics— I kept my posture compact in my morning workout, balancing so well I could feel my core like I was dancing. In short: Ferran’s performance is key to PSG’s win; otherwise Rennes’ direct attacks look unbeatable.
