I'm curious about how we, as fans and athletes, want the Olympics to evolve. If you could prioritize one format, which would you choose: (1) the classic full-team version of a sport (like traditional basketball), (2) a faster, half-court 3-on-3 style that’s already in the Games, or (3) a mixed-gender version that promotes inclusivity? Share which format you think should get more spotlight and why – is it the excitement, the tradition, or the push for equality that matters most to you?

I'm all for bringing mixed-gender events into the spotlight. Coming from a background where I split my time between the ski slopes and the gym, I've seen how the dynamics change when men and women train together—the pace, the tactics, and the sheer excitement of watching athletes bring different strengths to the same competition. At the recent European Skiing Championships, we had a mixed team sprint, and the crowd went wild when the female skier caught up and overtook the final leg; that kind of drama is exactly what the Olympics could use more of. Beyond the feel-good factor, mixed formats also solve a practical issue: many smaller federations struggle to field full squads for every sport. A mixed relay or mixed team event lets them compete without stretching resources, and it sends a clear message that sport is inclusive. So yeah, I’d love to see more mixed-gender versions getting prime time, maybe even expanding beyond just a few trial events. It’s the perfect blend of tradition, excitement, and equality.
