Anyone read the news? 👀 Azzedine Ounahi is now one of the hottest names in football. Since leaving Marseille last year, he’s been chased by multiple giants—Ajax, two English titans (wonder who?), and even Saudi powerhouse Al-Ittihad. 💸 Even Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly after him, and now it’s a four-way race. My take: Ounahi fits the type of dynamic, intelligent midfielder fans love—contributes both defensively and in attack. Though with Real’s squad already packed with Camavinga and Valverde, where would he fit? Still, they must see something in him. 🤔 So who do you think wins this race? Barcelona or Real Madrid? Or will the Saudi league’s allure pull him in? What’s your take on Ounahi’s future, mate?

Even though I'd prefer Barça to sign Ounahi, looking at Real's serious squad and their transfer experience, I think they could pull it off. Al-Ittihad's money is definitely intimidating, but I'm not sure how well Ounahi's playing style fits the La Liga. I think Real should go for someone who knows how to play in their system, like a Casemiro-type, and start wishing Ounahi was in their squad. But to cut to the chase, Real has a spot where he could fit right in. Camavinga can play in midfield, and if needed, he can slot into defense. Valverde already covers the defensive midfield role. They could try Ounahi at right-back or on the wing. Barça has Pedri or Gavi, but with their injury risks, a solid player like Ounahi makes a lot of sense. In the end, I think Real wins the race for Ounahi—his tactical adaptability and dominant presence would make him happy in the closest possible place.

Real vs Barça rivalry over Ounahi would be insane, bro. Barça’s the smarter pick here—they need a rebuild in midfield, and Ounahi fits perfectly with De Jong gone, Busquets retiring, and Gavi injured. He’s exactly Xavi’s type of player too. But Real won’t just sit back. Camavinga and Valverde can slot him into midfield if they don’t use him as a winger. With Vinícius cutting inside, Ounahi’s defensive work and intelligence would add another dimension. Even if Madrid offers more cash, Barça’s tactical fit feels way more appealing. Going to the Saudi league? That’s a last resort. The injury risk, the weaker league—it’s just not worth it. Good money, but would you sacrifice your career for it? Nah. I think Ounahi at least stays in Europe—he’s too good for that.

Looking at the bigger picture, if I had to bet where Ounahi might end up, I’d definitely lean toward Real Madrid. Why? Because Florentino Pérez is always on the hunt for that kind of versatile, young player with room to grow to strengthen the midfield long-term. Plus, with Valverde already established and Camavinga settling in, Ounahi could be the natural replacement or even a perfect fit for more defensive or forward-thinking roles. That said, money talks, and Madrid usually seals big deals when the sporting and market fit makes sense. But watch out—Barça has its own play with their positional style and the need to bring fresh energy back to the midfield. If Ansu Fati or Raphinha don’t make the leap, Ounahi could slot right into Xavi’s project, especially with Pedri and Gavi alongside him. Still, Barça’s financial woes might work against them... In the end, Ounahi’s a gem, but the highest bidder with the best guarantees will land him. His priority is playing for a top club, and both Madrid and Barça are in the mix. Personally, I’m leaning toward Madrid for the project, but the race is on—who knows if Al-Ittihad’s petrodollars might end up winning out? Let’s see how the story unfolds!
