Both teams have been in top form lately, but Beşiktaş's consecutive wins and especially the football played by the new transfers remind me of the past Champions League. Looking at Demba Ba's leadership, Goldman's pressure in midfield, and especially Batshuayi's composure in the final shots, I think Beşiktaş's passing and pressing speed could outshine Alanyaspor's defense.
Although Alanya is always a tough opponent at home, recently they've been pressing well, especially with German defender Julian Weigl's midfield pressure causing problems for the strikers. But if they keep their eyes on the ball and if Dorukhan Toköz, who missed last week due to injury, returns fully fit and adds his second-ball pressure in midfield early in the game, Alanyaspor might struggle to execute their game plan. I'm counting on Sami Khedira's physical dominance and especially Batshuayi's impact in the second half.
We should also watch how Demba Ba and Goldman's duo combinations respond to Alanyaspor's pressure from the left flank. If Asensio and Riesco can't wear down Alanyaspor's solid defender Hoogland, I think Beşiktaş will dominate the midfield and have plenty of space to play.
