3D printing builds physical objects by depositing material layer by layer. The process starts with a digital 3D model, usually in STL format. The printing system then slices the model into layers and generates instructions for each one. Different technologies can be used, from heated plastic extrusion to resin curing. Regardless of the method, the final result is a structure made up of accumulated pieces that later fuse together. So, what are the different printing methods, and what sets them apart?

When I first tried 3D printing, the thing that confused me the most was STL files and all those technical details, man. Then I just thought: it's basically like "digital cake decorating." You prepare your model in a digital space, and the printer is like stacking layers of a tiered cake one by one. A little tip from my first print: tweak the pressure instead of the speed. For example, if you print at 0.2mm layer height and 50-60 mm/s speed, you keep the details sharp and the print stays in place. Of course, after I started using resin, I learned what calibration really means by heart, bro.
