Guys, there's a constant dilemma in 3D printing: do you want high-quality output or fast printing? For small projects, speed is important to me, but I don't want aesthetics to take a back seat either. How would you allocate more budget to either? What was the most challenging trade-off you faced while optimizing parameters? Enlighten me, bro!
In 3D printing, quality vs. speed: which do you focus on?

One constant dilemma I face, bro! I’m always torn between speed and quality. For small projects, I usually set the layer height to 0.2mm and keep the infill percentage low to cut down on print time. But for something with a bit more detail, I’ll go with a 0.12mm layer and then sand and paint it afterward to improve the finish. I try to keep the aesthetics intact without letting the print time get out of hand.
The trickiest balance for me is usually the infill rate. Low infill means faster printing, but the part might not be strong enough. High infill gives a solid, high-quality print, but it really bumps up the time. Right now, for example, I’m printing at 20% infill, which takes about 30% longer than usual, but the result is both durable and smooth. It’s all trial and error, my guy!
