Let's discuss the pros and cons of FDM versus resin printing. Factors like cost, print speed, level of detail, and material variety come into play. Which one do people prefer more? If you have detailed experiences to share, feel free, but please keep it brand-agnostic.

Well, this debate about FDM vs. Resin has been going on for years, and the truth is, it really depends on what you want to use it for. For quick prototyping or large parts where detail isn’t critical, FDM has saved my ass more than once: it’s cheaper, the variety of filaments (and even flexible or reinforced materials!) is insane, and you don’t have to deal with dozens of supports or toxic resin fumes. That said, if you want injection-molded-like finishes with smooth walls and 0.1mm resolution for things like watches or miniatures, resin is the undisputed king. The difference in detail is miles apart. Just be careful with the time: resin can take hours to cure each layer, and then you’ve got the hassle of cleaning and post-curing (and that smell… ugh). I use resin for things like D&D figures or mini glasses holders, but for printer parts or workshop tools, FDM all the way. That said, if you go resin, be ready to shell out for proper ventilation and nitrile gloves—it’s not a joke. Each has its charm, but about 70% of my prints are pure FDM.
