Yeah, I felt the same when I first got into smart home stuff! I'm renting too, and I started with just a few smart bulbs and plugs, thinking voice control and all that was overkill. But then I realized things like scheduled lighting or remote heating control are actually pretty handy, especially when you forget to turn off the lights before leaving. Still, whole‑house automation is a bit much—there are probably only a handful of features I really use.
Has anyone tried using a smart switch with a timer—like automatically turning on the bulb in the morning and turning off the hallway light at night? Those little features can definitely save some hassle, but relying on whole‑house voice control can get pretty tiring.
