First, decide which system you want to start with, bro, like you could go with Philips Hue lights. When I first set it up, I was using Z-Wave for devices that didn’t support WiFi, honestly, but then I forgot about it and it got a bit confusing. I think when choosing a protocol, make sure it supports all the devices in your system, otherwise constantly adapting gets annoying.
