Recently, while chatting with a friend, we discussed how useful smart bulbs are. According to them, it's a technology that makes things easier, but I think it's more of a marketing gimmick. Do you think smart lighting systems are really practical in daily life, or are they just a luxury consumer product? What are the benefits and who are they suitable for? What are your user experiences?

Actually, it's not that unnecessary. For example, I like being able to turn on the lights with my phone when I get home in the evening. So, which brand of bulb did you use, and how does your system work?
I think smart bulbs aren’t just a luxury—they’re actually pretty practical. I used to think, "What’s the point?" until I got the Philips Hue for my place. At first, I loved that I could change the colors, but then I realized how useful they are for regular lighting too. For example, I set the ambiance to a warm yellow for dinner without making a fuss, and in the morning, I wake up to a light that mimics daylight. You really notice how the color of light in your home affects your mood.
Then there’s the automation part—it’s a lifesaver. I schedule all the lights to turn off before I leave or go to bed, so I save on electricity and don’t have to worry about forgetting. It’s also more convenient for sharing with my partner; I can set the lights to her favorite colors. So now, I don’t even stress about whether I left the lights on when I’m out running errands. That said, it’s not like it didn’t touch my wallet—I started with cheaper, decent models and gradually expanded.
