Guys, is it even worth spending money on smart lighting systems? They seem to do the same job as a regular light switch at home, but everyone keeps talking about "automation" and "energy savings." Do you think these devices are actually useful, or is it just a marketing gimmick? Are you looking to switch to home automation or just stick with the simple way? I'd love to hear about your experiences.
Are smart bulbs unnecessary or life-saving?

At first, I thought smart bulbs were unnecessary, but I didn’t want to wake my baby up by turning the light on and off with my phone in the dark. Then I got a Philips Hue, and I got used to features like dimming the lights with voice commands or setting them to slowly brighten in the morning—so I changed my mind!
I don't think smart bulbs are just unnecessary—they can be downright confusing at times. Last year, I did a bit of research and bought a few for both my home and office. Sure, they make life easier, but when you're saving just a few watts a month on one or two lamps while becoming dependent on the system's network connection, it's easy to lose focus. Instead of just turning off the lights from my phone at night to go to sleep, I found myself thinking, "Should I leave it on?"
But they do have their advantages. When you want to create a special ambiance—like adjusting to a deep blue hue for movie night—it’s great. Guests who come over also compliment the system, saying, "Wow, your setup is amazing!" which definitely boosts morale. They offer way more options than a simple switch, but going all-out and equipping your entire place with smart lighting might be a bit over the top.
