I'm also new to mobile development. A while back, I worked on a small project using an ESP8266 and HomeAssistant to control LED lights. At first, I didn’t think much about it, and the lights were just manually switched on and off, which led to a surprisingly high electricity bill at the end of the month. Later, I added a PIR motion sensor module so the lights only turn on when someone is around. I also adjusted the color temperature from 6500K down to 3000K, making the lighting softer before bedtime while saving even more power.
