I had the exact same question when I set up my smart home system a year ago. Back then, I went with Zigbee because my router couldn’t reliably handle that many devices—ever since, everything’s been running smoothly, even with 20+ lights. Wi-Fi would’ve been overloaded in my case, but the perks of Zigbee also include low interference and easy expansion without new cables or router settings.
