Last year when I renovated my house, I did serious research to switch to smart lighting. I used to use traditional LED bulbs, but finding a separate switch for each room was both complicated and led to energy waste. Ease of use and automatic scenarios were the biggest reasons for my preference – being able to set all the lights to a dim tone with a single "Night Mode" command and have them automatically turn off at bedtime really made my life easier. Especially the feature that slowly transitions the lights to a warm yellow tone during dinner time became a family favorite.
Energy efficiency was important too, but since most smart lights are LED-based, that was already a given advantage. As for design harmony, I love minimalist styles, so I preferred smart bulbs in white colors only. By using systems compatible with Philips Hue fixtures, I set up modern lighting without disrupting the aesthetics of my home. So, it was actually a combination of all three, but the convenience of scenarios was the most decisive factor for me.
I also prefer the **energy efficiency & long lifespan** option because when I switched to the Philips Hue system recently, seeing the drop in my electricity bill made me really happy! Plus, since the bulbs last so long, they end up being more cost-effective in the long run.
