Here’s a quick checklist for those who are curious. First, what do you want to track? Heart rate? Sleep analysis? GPS? Stress management? Do you also care about battery life? Will you use it for daily productivity or to optimize sports performance? The material matters too—leather, silicone, metal—because long-term comfort is key. To give a general idea, which balanced features should you prioritize based on your budget? What would you prioritize?

Everyone has different needs, really bro. Last year, when I bought a fitness-focused smartwatch, I made sure the heart rate sensor and GPS were high-quality because I wanted it to accurately track my entire route. Then I paid attention to battery life since I run almost all day with that watch. For the band, I went with silicone because metal would be heavy and could irritate my skin over long-term use. As for the budget, I thought about getting something around 3-4K, but ended up focusing on models with a high price-performance ratio. I also chose a brand with a stress management mode because I have a busy work life. So first, clarify what you need, then focus on the sensors and battery—don’t worry too much about the material. The rest is just brand hype anyway; what matters is meeting your needs. Mine fits me perfectly, so maybe a checklist like this could work for you too.

Man, I was also looking for a smartwatch recently, and since I deal with continuous graphics optimization on my GPU, I really focused on the display part. First off, you gotta clarify what you need, otherwise you'll end up spending money and regretting it fast. Like, are you using it for stress management or are you a runner? For me, heart rate and GPS accuracy were crucial because I take my workout data seriously. Even in tests with my iWatch sensors, I saw some watches overestimating heart rate, so you really need models with solid sensors. If battery life is a concern, well, that totally depends on your usage. I ride my bike daily with GPS on, but Garmin’s 20-hour continuous GPS performance is enough for me. But if you want it to last 3-4 days or more, avoid watches with constant screen lighting or at least go for ones with big battery capacity. As for materials, my advice is that even though leather looks nice, silicone or plastic are more comfortable in the long run. I started with a metal frame, but sweat irritated my skin, so now I’ve switched to a full silicone strap. Lastly, features vary based on your budget, of course. Cheap watches have basic health data but might not get regular updates. Around 10,000 TL, you can find quality options—like some Suunto models that are both durable and have low error rates in their sensors.
