Lately, are most people thinking smartwatches are a must for fitness tracking? Personally, I’m tired of constantly counting and tracking, and sometimes I don’t even trust these devices. Do these gadgets that measure everything from heart rate to sleep analysis actually improve my performance, or do they just distract me? What do you think? What experiences have users had? I think this is a topic worth discussing.

I know it can be demotivating to constantly count and read numbers off a screen, but there are some simple yet effective methods out there—like phone apps or just a good old notebook. What do you use? Have you tried anything like that?
I bought a Garmin Venu 2 about two years ago after having throat surgery, thinking it would help with my fitness tracking. Even though I kept telling it "I was sick" after it nagged me 500 times to "rest," it still kept counting my steps and heart rate. I never managed to break my walking record no matter how hard I tried, and eventually, I just got fed up with all the constant tracking and ditched the watch altogether. Now it’s just sitting in my pocket, gathering dust—honestly, with my busy schedule, I barely move around enough to hit any step goals anyway.
In the end, these gadgets don’t really improve performance—they just clutter your mind with constant "take one more step" reminders. For me, it was just an extra source of stress and didn’t replace the personal discipline I already had when it came to fitness.
