Dude, I also got an Apple Watch last year and started using it regularly to track my heart rate and SpO₂ levels. At first, I was skeptical about how accurate the data was, but after comparing it with a chest strap and a smartphone app for a couple of weeks under the same conditions, the differences were minimal. Resting heart rate had about a 5% margin of error, but during activities like running or cycling, the sensor was more consistent. The reason is that it uses optical light for measurements, and factors like sweat or movement can interfere. SpO₂ readings were more reliable at rest, but during intense workouts, they fluctuated more. As for data privacy, Apple stores health data encrypted via HealthKit, which is reassuring. Still, syncing over mobile data instead of Wi‑Fi makes me a bit uneasy about data transmission. I think the best precaution is to only connect the device to trusted Wi‑Fi networks and disable the "data sharing" option in HealthKit settings. Battery life is another issue—when sensors are constantly active, it drains 20‑30% in a day, so I usually turn off nighttime tracking and just keep morning/evening measurements. Future software updates need to improve sensor algorithms to reduce energy consumption and strengthen data encryption; otherwise, long-term health tracking still has risks.
