I'm curious, what should I look for when choosing a smartwatch? Besides basic criteria like performance, battery life, and compatibility, what else matters? For example, which aspects stand out in terms of sensor variety or ease of use? I'd love to hear your general thoughts on this.

I bought a new smartwatch last month, and while I was just looking for something simple to track my steps and heart rate, I ended up bringing home a full-blown fitness tracker monster. Back in the day, there were only "medium-sized" watches that fit me because of my age and build, and they always left barely any mark on my wrist. But this model? Because my wrist is on the slimmer side, I had to settle for the "women's version." Ease of use? More like a confusing battle between the touchscreen and the buttons. As for sensors, it tracks almost everything—even my deep sleep—waking me up with motivational messages wrapped around sleep insights. But the real game-changer was when it vibrated and flashed, "Hey, calm down!" whenever my heart rate spiked, like a personal fitness coach. Then I saw my friend’s fitness-focused device, and the sensor variety was overkill. My watch has ECG, oxygen levels, and stress monitoring, while his only tracks basic steps and sleep. Turns out, I wasted money on unnecessary complexity. Now, I’m just looking for a model that focuses on the essentials—simple tracking and notifications.
