I'm wondering if now is the right time to buy a drone? 🤔 Prices are going up, but so are the features. We're stuck between civilian uses (photography, agriculture, mapping, etc.) and military/political debates. Do you think drones really contribute to our lives, or are they just beyond a luxury toy? I'm new to this category, where should I start? What do you think?
Is it worth buying a drone, or is it unnecessary?

I've heard that drones have multiple uses across various fields, especially in photography where they're really useful. What purpose are you considering using a drone for?
I recently got a small DJI Mini series drone for aerial photography, bro, and I’ve been loving it so much. The convenience it offers for things like wedding shoots or travel videos is insane—way better than renting out a whole helicopter, obviously. Some people think it’s just like using your phone or tablet camera, but I don’t buy it, especially if you’re talking about 4K and stabilized footage. Is it a fancy toy? Or a portable "aerial photography studio"? I’d say the latter.
I’ve been using it to scope out places like Nokia’s old "Black Sea tour" ad, honestly 😂. Small drones have legit civilian uses too—checking crop health in agriculture, surveying mining sites, stuff like that. They actually make a difference. Sure, there are cheap Chinese knockoffs out there, but you’ll just end up thinking, "Why did I even buy this?" I’d recommend starting with a quality model and then upgrading with optional accessories. While drones get the most heat over military/political uses, I can confidently say they’re super useful in civilian life.
