The biggest debate, in my opinion, is how drones should be regulated when it comes to privacy concerns. Some argue about how strictly public use of these "whereabouts unknown" devices should be controlled. On the other hand, there's also the issue of how commercial uses should be permitted. What do you think is the strictest rule governments should implement on this matter? Or are the current regulations sufficient?

On one hand, we can think about regulating surveillance cameras, which have boomed with their democratization. At first, everyone installed cameras at home without restrictions, until abuses (data collection, voyeurism, etc.) pushed states to regulate things: authorized zones, image retention periods, mandatory signage. For drones, it would make sense to apply the same principle: ban flights over private properties without consent, limit takeoff zones (parks, stadiums, etc.), and require real-time geolocation systems for professional models. But watch out, drones aren’t just surveillance gadgets. Think of the parallel with e-scooters: at first, it was the Wild West (anarchic traffic, parking anywhere), and then municipalities had to legislate (mandatory bike lanes, speed limits, registration). For drones, the solution might be to set up a dual system: a permit to fly in urban areas (like a motorcycle license), coupled with an outright ban on autonomous or programmable drones without supervision. Like firearms, in short: individual freedom, yes, but with strict safeguards.
