In the electric vehicle community, choosing the right battery technology is crucial. There are three main conceptual options to consider: (1) lithium-ion batteries, which are tried-and-true with good energy density; (2) solid-state batteries, which promise better safety and longer range; and (3) zinc-air batteries, which could be cheaper and have a lower environmental impact. Which do you think will be the best choice to drive mass adoption? Explain your pick and which factors (cost, range, safety) you consider most important.
What type of battery technology do you prefer for electric vehicles and why?

Yo, I still struggle to tell a second-hand laptop charger apart, so I think lithium-ion batteries are the most practical choice right now: they strike a good balance between cost, battery life, and availability. Solid-state ones sound awesome, but they're still in the lab phase, and zinc-air batteries leave me more confused than a charger without a plug 🤔🔋😂
