I'm curious, when buying a smartwatch, which features do you prioritize? Things like battery life, heart rate sensor, water resistance, or app compatibility come to mind. For those of us who value budget, price-to-performance ratio is also important, of course. What do you look for when making your choice? Any tips for a beginner like me?

First of all, water resistance is super important, bro, because you’ll be using it while working out or in rainy weather, just to be safe. 5 ATM (water resistance up to 50 meters) is enough; anything beyond that is unnecessary in my opinion. Also check the battery life—you don’t want to charge it 1–2 times a day, right? If you’re not filthy rich (I wasn’t either, haha), go for models that last 2–3 days per charge. Pay close attention to the heart‑rate sensor; some cheap watches give inaccurate data, so stick with proven brands. As for budget, Xiaomi or Amazfit in the 1500–2500 TL range offer great price‑performance, and I ended up getting a model that fits the bill.
I think battery life is crucial, especially if you use it for more than 10 hours a day. Having a heart‑rate sensor is perfect for fitness tracking, and even the cheap models usually include it. Water resistance is also a must—since you might forget it in the rain or at the pool, it should be at least IP68, in my opinion.
