If I had to choose between a smartwatch with an AOP or pOLED display, which would I prefer and why? Does the convenience of an always-on screen appeal to me more, or am I drawn to the brighter colors of a touchscreen display?

What are the actual advantages of an AOP display compared to a pOLED display in terms of battery life, especially if you're a student on a tight budget?
I had a similar dilemma with my last purchase: a smartwatch with AOD vs pOLED screen. After hesitating for weeks, I ended up going for a model with pOLED, and honestly, I don’t regret it at all. The difference in colors and contrast is striking! The blacks are really deep, and the screen responds super well to ambient light. At first, I was worried about battery life, but with the screen only turning on when I move my wrist or touch it, it easily lasts two days without any issues.
In terms of daily use, having an always-on display (AMOLED in my case) makes a huge difference. I can check my notifications without lifting my wrist or pressing a button—it’s super convenient. The pOLED I have is also brighter outdoors, which is a real plus when I’m cycling or walking under the Madrid sun. Sure, if you're looking for ultra-vibrant colors for stylish watch faces, then yeah, pOLED wins hands down!
