Are robot vacuums really reliable? Would you buy one?

I've seen a lot of complaints lately about robot vacuums not cleaning thoroughly and getting stuck, but there are also users who say they can't go back to manual mopping after using one. So, do you think they're worth buying? Which features are must-haves and which are just a waste of money? Things like edge cleaning, automatic dust collection, and voice control—are they really necessary? Are there any general recommendations for different floor plans (like large single-level homes, duplexes, or small apartments)? Share your real experiences or reasons for hesitating!

Whether it's reliable depends on your home situation and budget. I once installed a laser-navigation robot vacuum in a 100 sqm duplex. At first, it couldn't clean the corners properly, but after two months of teaching it to recognize "obstacle zones" (like around sofa legs), it got much better—now it can vacuum, mop, and even go up and down stairs automatically. Every morning when I wake up, the floors are clean, and it really does save a lot of manual work. I’d recommend getting one with automatic dust collection—just empty the bin when it’s full, or it’s basically a waste of money! For me, voice control and smart home integration are the most practical features. I can say "start cleaning" before I get home, and it automatically goes to charge before getting to work. But for homes over 150 sqm, I’d suggest getting one with a 4000mAh+ battery. For duplexes or small apartments, don’t stress too much about corner mopping—just get one with side brushes. If your place has lots of nooks and crannies, even the best robot will need a quick manual touch-up. At the end of the day, this thing is all about convenience. Try it in a small space first to see if it works for you!
