Yesterday, while setting up my friend's Libredero robot, I really grasped how blurred that line has become. It wasn’t anything like those cheap "toy" robots from about a decade ago. This one wasn’t just programmed for simple scenarios—it was constantly learning. For example, it didn’t just recognize the cat entering the kitchen and step aside; it "learned" how long the cat stayed in that room, refining its own behavior without any human input. That’s when it hit me: we still think of AI’s progress as nothing more than simple "yes/no" decisions, but now robots can generate their own data from experience.
Then we noticed the robot’s brain was actually a PC-connected system. The AI wasn’t just inside the robot—it was cloud-based, constantly updating and enabling autonomous decisions. That’s when I realized the "line" is already fading. Sure, fully autonomous robots are coming, but it won’t just be about "AI"—the relationship between humans and robots is becoming secondary.
Hah, I can't even plug in a cable properly and here I am looking at "fully autonomous robots" and don't even want to think about AI's future. 😅 I just want the robot to bring me my food, it doesn't need to be super intelligent or anything.
