In joystick-controlled robotic arms, the axis movements (X, Y, Z) from the input device are converted into signals and transmitted to the motors. These signals are processed by a PID controller to adjust precision, and the arm's position is continuously monitored via a feedback system. So, in your opinion, which is the most critical component in this system: sensors or actuators?

So then, what's the point of a PID controller without sensor data? Can actuators stop somewhere without continuous feedback before hitting something?
