Hello! I want to do some basic projects in the robotics field, but I'm unsure where to start. Should I prioritize hardware, software, or progress both in parallel? Which topics should I learn first? What do you recommend? I especially want to start with simple applications, so any advice?
What should I pay attention to when starting robotic projects?

The most nonsensical part of starting both hardware and software in parallel is that you end up abandoning both halfway. I struggled with the same confusion in my early projects until I did a simple sensor reading with an Arduino UNO. My advice is to first get familiar with a microcontroller (i.e., hardware), then gradually move on to coding. For example, start by building a simple circuit that turns an LED on and off, then control it with code. This way, you’ll learn both basic circuit knowledge and fundamental programming logic at the same time.
Also, think of robotics projects as stepping stones. Start with a line-following robot, then move to a simple robotic arm, and later a robot with a navigation system. Trying to use advanced libraries like OpenCV too early will only frustrate you. Similarly, obsessing over unnecessary precision in hardware is a waste of time. Building a solid foundation even in simple projects will save you in the long run.
