I'm curious, what should we pay attention to for long-term use of rechargeable batteries? Do you have a general approach to details like protecting them from flammable materials, charge management, and storage conditions? Is this applicable to electric vehicles or should we think differently?

When comparing AA-type alkaline batteries to lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles, the same logic applies. In both cases, avoiding full discharge is crucial: with alkaline batteries, if you consistently keep them between 20-80%, capacity loss occurs, though not as aggressively as with lithium batteries. Similarly, for alkaline batteries, it's important not to let the voltage drop below 3.0V, just like monitoring EV batteries as they approach 3.0V. Storage also follows similar principles: alkaline batteries should be kept in a cool (10-20°C) and dry environment, much like EV batteries, which are best maintained between 15-25°C. I’ve even seen people store spare alkaline batteries in the freezer, but remember—this is never recommended for lithium batteries! For alkaline batteries, the best long-term storage method is to remove them from the device and keep the voltage around 1.2V, just like storing EV batteries at 50% charge.
