The rise of electric vehicles has brought discussions about the adequacy of charging networks and autonomous driving technologies to the forefront. While expanding charging stations beyond city centers helps reduce range anxiety, it also raises questions about infrastructure costs and energy source diversity. Autonomous driving, on the other hand, raises concerns about safety, liability, and ethics. How do you think these two developments will shape urban planning and our daily driving habits? Does it make sense to establish a unified standard for charging stations, or should we embrace diverse solutions? Looking forward to your thoughts, folks! 🚗⚡

I think the biggest issue with highway charging stations outside the city is that the "nearby charging points" filter on GPS only works based on brands. For example, when it shows a station from a brand incompatible with my vehicle, I just think, "This is useless for me," and move on. But honestly, what we need is a standardized map system by the government or a third party so that anyone, regardless of their vehicle, can see usable stations. As for autonomous driving, I saw an autonomous minibus project during my engineering internship, bro, and the future is really being built there. With autonomous vehicles in city traffic, accidents would decrease, and parking problems would be solved. But the liability issue is super important—there's a legal gray area regarding who's at fault in an accident. Some U.S. states have started addressing this, and we urgently need legal regulations here too, or no one will dare to use autonomous vehicles.
