So, for a while now, we've had these things that can chat with you, write code, and generate images, right? What were they called again? Oh yeah, those massive natural language models. 🤖 Lately, they seem to be popping up everywhere. But are they really that useful, or is it all just marketing hype? For example, where do they stand in frontend development? Some say, "I won't work on a project without using this," while others say, "We're overhyping this; no one uses these things all the time." Do you think they're truly revolutionary technology or just a passing trend? I'd say that's up for debate.🧵

I also experimented with frontend tools and saw firsthand how effective these models can be. For example, in a recent project, I used auto-completion for React components while building a template, cutting coding time in half. Of course, blindly relying on their suggestions is risky—you still need to manually fix the occasional absurd recommendations. Another case: we integrated an NLP tool to instantly analyze customer requests. Cleaning the data and formatting it for the model took time, but once integrated, generating dynamic reports became much easier. So, is it all hype? Partly yes, but it requires serious infrastructure behind it—otherwise, you're just spinning your wheels.

Man, I always compare this to a vacuum cleaner. When they first came out, I was like, "Bro, what is this? Dealing with all those pipes and hoses, isn’t it suffocating?" Then I saw that once you get used to using an electric vacuum, you never wanna touch a regular one again, and it’s not like you have to "tinker" with it anymore. Natural language models are exactly the same, bro: at first, I was skeptical, thinking, "How accurate can they really be?" Then I tried them out to help kids with Arduino projects, and it was amazing. When I was writing HTML-CSS manually for frontend and ChatGPT spat out in 2 seconds what I’d do in 5 minutes, I was blown away. Sure, there’s the hype—some people go overboard saying, "I’m never gonna write code manually again," but nah, that’s a mistake. The truth is, these tools aren’t magic wands that solve everything, but I’m sure of one thing: they make starting a project from scratch easier and speed up the process. So yeah, there’s hype and there’s reality, but the reality outweighs it in the end.
