Prompt engineering is something we all have different experiences with, really. Some of us were disappointed when we first tried generative models. Others figured out how to get interesting outputs—like starting with a simple question and iteratively refining the model's response... or tweaking system messages with specific wording. What strategies do you use? I personally prefer a "context-first" approach when writing prompts from scratch. Do you have any interesting techniques of your own? Let’s discuss!
How do you get the most out of prompt engineering?

Prompt engineering is actually a lot like working with SQL queries, in my opinion. For example, if you just say "SELECT * FROM users," you won't find anything useful in a large dataset, but when you add LIMIT, WHERE conditions, and use JOINs, you can get the exact data you need. The same goes for prompts: instead of a vague "can you explain this?" a more specific request like "explain this in 200 words with three different examples, including technical details" completely changes the results.
