If I'm doing backend development, I prefer C#—especially when working within the .NET Core ecosystem. I've spent years using C# for both monolith and microservice architectures, and I've consistently had a stable experience in terms of performance and efficiency. As for TypeScript, I have extensive experience with it on the frontend side in Angular and React projects. TypeScript's static type system improves code reliability, but on the backend, C# offers more mature and optimized tools (like Roslyn, NuGet, and CI/CD integration).
If I'm doing frontend development, I definitely prefer TypeScript. As a project grows, the ability to catch errors and refactor easily becomes crucial. TypeScript's closeness to modern JavaScript also shortens the team's adaptation period. That said, C# has recently made strides into frontend development with Blazor WASM, though it's still fundamentally a backend-focused language. Both have their advantages—it all comes down to your project, team, and needs!
