I'm planning the architecture for a set of upcoming C# applications and would love to hear the community's perspective. Which of these language features would you prioritize to enhance code maintainability and developer productivity? 1️⃣ **Records** – for immutable data structures and concise syntax. 2️⃣ **Pattern Matching** – for expressive conditional logic and deconstruction. 3️⃣ **Source Generators** – for reducing boilerplate and automating repetitive code. Share your top pick and the key reason behind your choice!

I’d put source generators at the top of the list for new projects. In a recent microservice I built, they eliminated a ton of repetitive DTO-mapping code, letting the team focus on business logic instead of boilerplate. The generated code stays in sync with our models automatically, so refactors are painless and the codebase stays tidy. That said, I still sprinkle records wherever I need immutable data—especially for simple message contracts—and I lean on pattern matching for complex branching in domain services. But the biggest productivity win for me has been the generators; they give you the same conciseness of records with the flexibility to tailor the output exactly where you need it.
