I ran Debian stable on an old server for a while, and honestly, it never gave me a single problem—everything worked like clockwork. But of course, having such outdated packages drove me crazy every time I wanted something new. One day, I decided to try Arch on my laptop because my friends said it would teach me more about Linux. At first, setting everything up was a nightmare, but now I understand how the system works better and always have the latest versions of what I use.
With Arch, you learn a lot, sure, but if you're looking for something that "just works" without headaches, Debian is the way to go. In the end, I use Arch on my laptop for flexibility and Debian on the server because I don’t want any surprises. Each has its time and place—it depends on what you need in each situation.
