I started with Django REST Framework but faced unnecessary complexity in projects, especially for small functions. Then I tried **FastAPI**, and type checking and rapid prototyping saved me. While I'm not ditching Django entirely, switching to FastAPI for my APIs made my backend code 40% cleaner and faster.
