Last week I upgraded to Go 1.24 for a microservice project, and the drop in compile time was truly impressive. What used to be a full build taking up to 45 seconds is now down to 25 seconds, which speeds up the feedback loop. Gaining that time, especially when integrating it into my CI/CD pipelines, has made a big difference to the overall project velocity.
On the debugging side, the new `debug/buildinfo` package makes spotting problematic dependencies a lot easier. Before I had to manually run `go list -m all` and check things myself, but now the information is automatically included during the build, so I can instantly see which module is incompatible. This has both simplified development and cut debugging time in half.
