Apple’s shift to Apple Silicon has been a hot topic for years. Some argue that transitioning fully to ARM architecture has boosted performance and efficiency, while others worry about long-term software compatibility. The real question: now that most major apps are optimized, is there any real downside to leaving Intel behind for good? How do you see it—will ARM-based macOS dominate the future, or did they move too fast?

I switched to an M1 Mac last year and the battery life + speed combo is insane compared to my old Intel MacBook. If most apps are optimized now, the only downside I can think of is niche software—like old audio plugins that devs never updated. But ARM dominance? Probably inevitable at this point.
