What do we usually hear about what TypeScript adds to JavaScript? Type safety is probably the biggest advantage in my opinion, but I'm tired of hearing it called "static typing." What do you think is TypeScript's biggest strength? Is it just about improving code readability, or is catching errors at compile time more valuable?

So, it seems like you really have to experience how much TypeScript speeds up the debugging process. I wonder what percentage of errors caught during the compilation phase actually cause serious issues in production?
